Year 9 Music Day

A selected group of Year 9 students were able to enrich their experience of music here at The Wavell School in a workshop created by Mrs Rowland and Mrs Drake on Friday 8th March 2019 to help students work practically and problem-solve in a fun and dynamic atmosphere.

During the first part of the morning they had a short talk from Mr Hicken, ex-student Adam Furze and local guitar teacher Matt from Goodall’s Guitar School. They spoke about their experiences and how music has helped and enriched their careers (so far).

The students then collaborated with each other to create a performance on the stage which they performed at the end of the morning to a Year 7 student audience who were then also given the chance to get involved.
