The Wavell School

As a piece of remote English learning Year 9 have looked at various news articles about the environment and studied a speech by Greta Thunberg. They also looked at three poems by Poet Laureate Simon Armitage  (the Pelaton, The Last Snowman and Lockdown) and were then asked to use all these sources as inspiration for their own poems which expressed their feelings and ideas about today’s world.
