Wavell Goes Green!

The School is now proud to be playing its part in tackling climate change and decreasing carbon emissions through the installation of solar voltaic panels on three of our roofs.

We are very fortunate that Hampshire County Council’s Property Services Energy Team were successful in securing Government grant funding and that the School proved a viable site.  The installation and operation of these panels will considerably reduce the amount of carbon emissions that would otherwise have been generated by the existing electricity demands as well as significantly reduce our energy costs (estimate around £14,000 a year!).
