Wavell Dancers Excel
In the face of adversity Wavell KS3 dancers won the award for 'Best Costume' and 3rd place overall at the 2019 Gremlin Dance Challenge, held at the Princes Hall on Thursday 14th March. This is a massive achievement because of the problems they faced with cast numbers and injury.
Two weeks before the performance one of the dancers ‘dropped out’ of rehearsals and Fiona Gilles volunteered to learn the choreography and fill the vacated place at very short notice. Then 4 days before the event another student was injured and unable to take part. The whole group covered her absence brilliantly.
Well done to the team and Miss McKie who retain their place in the top 3 schools for Dance in Rushmoor, even when faced with adversity! A brilliant result.
