Thank You SITA!
On Friday 19th July, just as the glorious sunshine gave way to cool winds and rain, we were lucky enough to have the services of a group of volunteers from SITA under their ViVA (Value in Volunteering Action) programme come and spruce up our grounds. The five of them worked tirelessly through the inclement weather, cutting back brambles and clearing overgrown patches of land.
Our Senior Site Manager, John Forbes, was overjoyed with the results. John said ‘We would never have the capacity to spend an entire day purely on the areas that are not covered by our grounds maintenance contract and are therefore hugely grateful for all their efforts today, they have done an amazing job.’
Emma Robertson, who organised the SITA volunteers, said that her staff thoroughly enjoyed being away from the office in order to support the local community.
We are truly grateful to the SITA volunteers and to SITA itself who allowed their staff the opportunity to spend a day at The Wavell School.
