The Year 10 and 11 trip to Paris began on Friday 17th January with an early morning coach ride to London, where students boarded the Eurostar, marking the start of their exciting journey. From the moment they arrived in the French capital, the group was immersed in new experiences that left lasting impressions.
One highlight was a visit to the world-renowned Louvre Museum, where students marveled at the Mona Lisa and other artistic treasures. They also enjoyed a serene cruise along the Seine, taking in iconic sights like the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower from the water. Another unforgettable moment was ascending to the top of the Tour Montparnasse, offering panoramic views of Paris, despite the weather not being in our favour.
Navigating the Métro added an authentic touch to their Parisian adventure, as students explored the city with confidence and curiosity. Along the way, they made new friendships and embraced every opportunity to practice their French, whether ordering food or conversing with locals.
The group’s exemplary behavior, enthusiasm, and willingness to step out of their comfort zones truly embodied the spirit of the trip. Everyone relished the chance to try traditional French cuisine, from croissants to Poulet rôti, adding a delicious culinary element to the experience.
The trip was a resounding success, leaving students with cherished memories and a deeper appreciation for French culture, art, and history.
