Year 7 Food Technology students get
involved in National School Meals Week
On Tuesday 13th November 2018 some of the Year 7 students were invited to take part in a Healthy Eating Campaign taking place during NSMW (12-16 Nov) to showcase health and nutrition. The Wavell School was one of 4 schools in the area chosen to take part in this exciting opportunity.
The students got involved in some live cooking and tasting events with the Quorn Chef, Lizzie Harrison.
The students were guided through the Eatwell Guide and enjoyed sharing their knowledge of health, nutrition and food provenance. The students were able to get involved in cooking and tasting some wonderful dishes such as Boston Beans, Pizza, Chicken Burger and Chicken Wrap. The favourite of the day as voted by the students was the Chicken Wrap.
