Japan V England Women's World Cup
by Brooke Hewlett 7X & Evie Macdonald 7U
Japanese Club gathered to watch the Women’s World Cup, Japan vs England on Wednesday 19th June, the final game for both in the group stages.
We shared food/snacks and drinks (with green tea as well as fizzy drinks) as we happily watched the game. There were supporters from both sides which made a hilarious atmosphere.
The room was full of Japanese and English decorations including flags and football shirts. As you can imagine, there were many cheers for the first England goal. At 47 minutes the suspense was building when Japan hadn’t scored yet and England was 1 goal ahead. The crowd for Wavell watching was 31 including students, parents, family and teachers who all loved the game.
Go on Japan and England!
