Gremlin Dance Challenge 2022
It was with great excitement that we entered the Gremlin Dance Competition this year following a 2 year break due to COVID.
We entered 3 dances which were performed at the Gremlin Dance Challenge on 10th March 2022 at the Princes Hall, Aldershot. All were successful in gaining an Award, a brilliant outcome considering how disrupted rehearsals have been due to the continuing trials of COVID! The students who took part approached rehearsals with enthusiasm and positivity and their hard work certainly paid off. Special mention goes to the Dance Prefects, Layla and Lauren who choreographed the Year 9 piece and were deservedly awarded Best Choreography in the KS3 category.
A big thank you also to Mrs Mamun for her work with the Year 7 & 8 Team, and to both her and Mr Franklin for supporting on the night.
Well done girls, it has been a pleasure working on this with you and I’m very proud of you all!
Year 7 & 8: After the Storm Comes the Rainbow – Most Entertaining Performance and 2nd overall in KS3
Year 9: California Heat - Best Choreography
Year 10 & 11: Stargazing – Best Concept and 3rd overall in KS4.
