The Wavell School is delighted with its results this year which show an even bigger increase than that made nationally with a 9% improvement on last year’s great results. Wavell has achieved its best ever combined English and Maths results at 74%, individually with English at 85% and Maths at 78%.

The school is also especially pleased with its 81% students achieving 2 or more Science GCSEs. A wide range of subjects achieved 80% standard passes or better : Japanese (100%), Italian (100%), Religious Studies (88%), Dance (86%), Resistant Materials (86%), Photography (83%), Food Technology (83%). Special congratulations to 10 of our students who achieved a mixture of the very top grades (Grade 9s/A*s ): Adam Richardson , Johnathan Keenan , Thomas Ferguson , Heather Tomkins , Samuel Oldfield , Alfie Down , Megan Harrison , Ellen Andrews , Rosie Boddy and Eleanor Batty.

The headteacher, Amanda Rowley, would like to thank all the parents and the staff for supporting the students through all the multiple changes to the GCSE courses over the last 2 years. Congratulations to everybody.
