Cyanotype Photography Workshop
The Photography Department organised a wonderful opportunity for Year 11 students to attend a workshop with professional artist Georgia de Buriatte on Tuesday 28th September 2021.
The students were able to take part in creating their own cyanotypes/solar printing, using different materials such a dried flowers and leaves to feathers and their own stencils.
They learnt the processes they needed to go through to create their art work and how to change the colour of their images depending on the amount of time exposed and then editing the reaction with different materials such as tea or coffee for example.
Students were able to learn these new skills and hope they will benefit their Controlled Assessment and future projects and/or exams. Thank you to Georgia, HEON Partnership and The University for the Creative Arts for making this possible.
