Both students and staff at the Wavell School take an active role in fundraising for a wide variety of local, and national causes.

Some of our recent charity fundraising achievements:

July 2026

We raised £238 for Charlie's Promise who came to the school to deliver two very impactful presentations on knife crime.

Staff made donations to do the sessions during which they made fabric bags.

We had a real range of experience and it was such a lovely few afternoons

In total we have raised £335 for Blood Cancer UK. 

December 2025

We are very proud to share that our Year 7, 8 and 9 students raised a fantastic £3484.04 for Phyllis Tuckwell, Hospice Care with their annual Festive Fun Run at the end of the term. Read more here...

We raised over £250 for Mrs Millar's London Marathon Fundraising for Teenage Cancer Trust!

 £53.81 cash was raised for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal however we probably raised a lot more due to this year's QR code online donation method which is unfortunately not linked back to the school.
