Barclaycard Coding
By Ffion Came-Evans and Emily Florey
On the 1st of November a group of Wavell girls went to Barclaycard in Fleet to get an idea of what jobs were available for girls in the coding industry.
Once we arrived we did a range of tasks from building towers out of Lego to using a Raspberry Pi. There were things to do all day and the tasks were very exciting, all of the people there were very kind and friendly. A lot of people struggled with the Raspberry Pi task but it was really fun and the lady running it was very patient and kind to us. We also had a tour of the building and met lots of people from the different departments who were very helpful and answered our questions. Overall the day was really fun and was eye opening for what we could do in the future.
