BAE Challenge 2026

On 6th May 2026 two teams of Year 10 students from the Design & Technology department took on the exciting BAE Systems Challenge 2026!

Their challenge: design and build an all-terrain vehicle capable of carrying a load — all within a budget and just three hours. Working in teams of six, students created models, tested their ideas, and pitched their designs to industry experts in a Dragons’ Den-style presentation. They also competed in a mini bridge-building challenge during the day.

Both teams worked incredibly hard and successfully produced working vehicles, and we’re especially proud that one team went on to win the Best Teamwork Prize!
