World Book Day - Charity Dress Code Day

We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5th March as part of

The National Year of Reading initiative - Families | National Year of Reading 2026 | Go All In.

Students are invited to wear clothing that represents something they are interested in or passionate about in return for a £1 donation to Friends of Wavell and our 'Pitch In' Campaign via Scopay or Cash at the School Bank. As a reminder, bare midriffs, additional piercings and dyed hair will NOT be permitted.

Other events during World Book Day include:

· Quiz/competition winner announcements

· World Book Day assembly

· Library activities

· Whole school reading experience

Students who have PE on Thursday will still need to bring their standard PE kit.
