Design and Technology is studied by all students in KS3 and is an optional subject in KS4
Aim of the Design and Technology Curriculum
- Experiencing a range of different material areas through investigation, problem solve, design, make and evaluate.
- Development of transferable and practical life skills preparing them for an increasing technological and sustainable world
The knowledge the students will have by the end of the course:
- A knowledge and understanding of a range of different materials, and development of practical life skills that allows them to be a critical consumer.
- To understand and apply the design and problem-solving process.

Harry Potter Studio
Year 9 students and staff were transported to the magical world of Harry Potter. They took part in an exciting filmmaking careers workshop, where they explored the many creative roles involved in bringing the films to life. They also had the incredible opportunity to see authentic props and sets up close, discovering how they were designed and created.
