A group of year 8 students from the Wavell school won 2nd place at the 2009 Hampshire Schools Competition with their “Cultural Heritage Digital Storybook project” The students arranged a two day workshop to enable students and staff from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds to re tell favourite stories using a variety of media. The students had a terrific time creating their stories whilst learning more about the diverse cultures and languages that make up both their school and local community.
