It is with great delight that I can now formally and officially announce the result of our recent Ofsted Inspection...
 
"The Wavell School is an outstanding school" (Ofsted 2009)

I apologise that I could not let you know the outcome until today, we have been bursting with pride ever since OFSTED’s visit! The aspect which has given us most pleasure is the overwhelming positive support from you as parents and carers in all that we do for your children. Your support is very precious to us. It was also extremely pleasing to know that our students, your children, think we are excellent. They were outstandingly loyal and true ambassadors during the Inspection. We could not have had better PR agents!!
 
In 2006 we were a good school with outstanding features, in three years we have grown into an outstanding school and I know that with our shared drive and ambition The Wavell School will continue to be an even better school as we will work very hard towards reaching any targets for improvement.
 
Thank you for your ongoing "outstanding" support and partnership.  We look forward to celebrating our 40th anniversary with you throughout next year.  The school has certainly achieved a huge amount since its birth in 1969.
